Master class learning resources

Based on results from EUREGIO III work Packages and other European experiences, master classes have been designed with a range of methods. These will support the sharing of lessons learned from health investments in the 2000-2006 SF period and help create new knowledge & understanding by supporting programme/project reviews and expert analysis. Thus master classes also facilitate international consulting and learning networks among the participants.

The Master Classes are likely to include a focus on: direct investments e.g. health infrastructure & health services modernisation; indirect health sector SF investments e.g. workplace health; and non-health sector investments with potential added value health gain e.g. knowledge hubs, innovation clusters & inclusive employment. The latter will likely be a focus of later master classes.

For whom?

Master classes are designed for those with some experince of using SF for health. We target SF beneficiaries (regional/local health services, regional development agencies, etc.), Operational & Regional Operational Programme Managing Authorities/Monitoring Committees. Based on our experience with master classes in new EU MS, due to the seniority of ideal participants, the events have an optimal duration of 2-3.5 days.

These classes are organised as an EIII road show, so the local audience significantly contributes to output,s bringing in local experiences. Content material is based on best actions identified by EIII & other relevant sources. The teaching involves presentations, case study discussions & elaboration, group work. Handouts for participants has been developed by the faculty involved & supervised by programme directors.
